Just with any communications project, you need to review what you have now and what you really need going forward.  It's probably been many years since you've reviewed all of your communication systems.  Below are a list of services that Metropark Voice Exchange provides to your business.  

Historically, your phone system has lived in your closet or phone room.  You supplied the wall or rack space, the power, the uninterruptible power supply, and the heating or cooling.  Of course, if anything failed your phone system would shut down.  You were effectivally out of business.  With MPVEX, your PBX is in the CLOUD.  Actually, you have multiple PBX strategically placed in multiple data centers around the United States.  Even if you loose all the power at your business, your phone system is still purring along taking calls, routing to voicemail, or routing to IP phones, or routing to Cell Phones, or what ever you need to happen.  It really is liberating to have such flexibility!

Think about the phone numbers that you use all the time. These numbers are yours and you take them with you where ever you'd like to go.  We call this "Porting" numbers from your old carrier over to MPVEX.  If you have numbers but no one calls them, you really don't need to port them over to MPVEX. You may have only a Main Number and a Fax number that the public knows, but you may also have some numbers that track marketing efforts, or "DID" numbers that call directly into a phone or group of phones, or a number that goes to a conference bridge, or a Toll Free Number might be advertised.  All of these numbers will be ported over to MPVEX.

 

Call Paths
A Call Path is just like a phone line that you use today.  It allows you to make calls anywhere and receive calls from anybody.  You have many analog lines or digital T1 trunks that will not be needed any more!!  The MPVEX Call Path provides unlimited calling throughout the United States, and very low International rates should you need to call abroad. Each Call Path also includes Caller ID and Failover which alway keeps you connected to your customers and vendors.

How many lines are your people actually using at the same time. Example, you may have 10 lines going into your phone system right now, but only 6 people are on the phone at the exact same time.  This means you really only need 6 or 7 call paths.  Why pay for more than you need, when we can burst to additional call paths should things get extra busy.  A Burstable Call Path is waiting in reserve and is free to you, as long as you don't use it.  The Burstable Call Path is only charged when you have an extra busy call load and the caller is allowed to activate one of your burstable call paths.

Each phone on a desk or softphone in your pocket will be an extension off of your PBX in the CLOUD. Most businesses have a 3 or 4 digit phone extension directory.  Example: the phone on the front desk will be extension 100 and the other phones in the office continue with 101, 102, 103, 104, etc. Larger firms may use a 7 digit extension numbering plan which may also conform to a Phone Number DID which would allow outside parties dial directly into a phone extension.  Each PBX in the CLOUD Extension can have voicemail, unified communications Boomea, Dashboard, Reports, Find Me Follow Me, and tons of other features!

Enhanced 911 or E911 service is a North American telephone network (NANP) feature of the 911 emergency-calling system that automatically associates a physical address with the calling party's telephone number.  This is especially important with MPVEX VoIP phones, since you can have a phone at other locations like a home office.  When calling 911 they will receive the correct address to send first responders too, should you not be able to.

People still send and receive faxes, but the costs are going up and up.  The cost of a simple analog line is crazy high, especially if you don't fax all that much any more.  To the rescue is MPVEX Faxboxes.  A simple way to send and receive faxes using your email.  Faxes sent to you show up as PDF attachements in your inbox and you send a fax just like sending an email with an attachement... so easy and so inexpensive!!

MPVEX Text Chat allows you to communicate in a brand new way.  Customers and Vendors can now text your main phone number or any other business DID number you have. Requires Nimbus Softphone and active device.
